TECHNICAL SPECEFICATION
Red5Cam script was developed based on secure and open source software, which allows reducing the costs of development and owning of live cam service.
Live cam chat website development is based on:
- Operation system – any Linux/Unix operation system, e.g. Fedora Core or CentOS;
- Adobe Flash Player – receive and transfer of video and audio streaming, text chat;
- RED5 — streaming video server;
- RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) - a proprietary protocol for streaming video and audio from web cameras over the Internet;
- H.264 — is a standard of video compression used for providing good streaming video quality at high rate of compression;
- AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) — is a standard encoding scheme for digital audio. Achieves better sound quality than MP3 at similar bit rates;
- Apache 2.x — web server software;
- MySQL 5.x — database management server;
- Java — used for server software development;
- JSP (Java Server Pages) — is a Java technology used for dynamical generation of HTML and XML;
- Jetty — is a pure Java-based HTTP server and servlet container;
Live cam chat script is high-performance, which was proved during server stress loading tests and confirmed in successful projects, where our software is used in high server load.
